MICHAEL TURCO

The practice was established with the intent to deliver design solutions which considers the agenda of all through collaboration. Michael believes through collaboration an informed design outcome can be achieved which intuitively reflects a place that embodies the values of the clients ambitions.

Michael’s experience has been honed working on a diverse range of works with acclaimed local and international practices, Cox Richardson Architects in Sydney and Grimshaw and Partner’s in London.

Between 2001 and 2005, he was an integral member in the delivery of the Southern Cross Station redevelopment. He was involved on the conceptual team in London, and then took up the leading role of managing the design and procurement of the iconic roof structure and façade packages from inception to completion. Practical and clever design solutions were essential in ensuring that the delivery of such a complex concept was efficient in its build-ability, and reflecting in the architectural product envisaged for the people of Melbourne.

From these experiences he contributes to the Turco and Associates team by assisting and developing clear conceptual values for their current and past projects. Michael continues to develop a broad range of engaging design solutions through directing aspects of design, documentation and contract administration.

Prior to establishing Turco and Associates, Michael worked with leading international practice Grimshaw Architects in the UK and Australia on a variety of notable projects.
